Complaints and Feedback
How to raise a concern, and what happens next.
We want to hear from you if something has gone wrong, if information on this site is inaccurate or out of date, or if you simply have a suggestion. Feedback helps us keep our material accurate and useful.
1. How to contact us
Email us at and put “Complaint” or “Feedback” in the subject line. It helps if you tell us what happened, when, which page or material it relates to, and what outcome you are looking for.
2. What to expect
- We aim to acknowledge your message within 5 business days.
- We aim to give you a substantive response within 20 business days. If it will take longer, we will tell you why and when to expect it.
- Complaints are handled by TalkingByte Pty Ltd, the operator of AUCES, and are treated confidentially.
- You will not be treated less favourably for making a complaint.
3. Corrections to published information
If you point out an error in our published material, we will check it against current official sources and correct it. Time-sensitive pages carry a review date so you can see when they were last verified.
4. If you are not satisfied
If you are unhappy with our response, you may ask for it to be reviewed by a person not previously involved. Depending on the nature of your concern, you may also contact:
- Privacy concerns: the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC), oaic.gov.au.
- Consumer concerns: the Queensland Office of Fair Trading, qld.gov.au/law/fair-trading, or the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), accc.gov.au.
These external bodies are independent of AUCES. Contacting them does not prevent you from continuing to work with us to resolve the matter.
