How we handle personal information.
This policy explains how TalkingByte Pty Ltd (ABN 82 638 785 234), under its registered business name AU-CES and trading as AUCES (Australia Career & Education Service) (“AUCES”, “we”, “us”), handles personal information. We are committed to handling personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
1. What this website collects today
This website is currently an information-only landing page. It has no user accounts, no enrolment forms and no payment facility. Specifically:
- We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. No third-party scripts run on this site.
- There are no forms on this site. The only way to contact us is by email, using your own email application; nothing is submitted to or stored by this website.
- Like almost every web server, ours keeps standard access logs (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type). These are used only for security and to keep the site running, are not combined with any other data, and are automatically deleted on rotation.
2. Information you send us
If you email us, we will hold the information you choose to include (typically your name, email address and the content of your message) so that we can respond. We use it for that purpose only. We do not sell personal information, and we do not add you to marketing lists.
3. When our programs launch
When AUCES begins offering courses and accounts, we will collect more information (for example account details, learning progress and payment-related information handled by a compliant payment provider). We will update this policy before that happens, explain clearly what is collected and why, collect only what is genuinely necessary, and never ask you to share passwords or upload identity or registration documents unless it is truly required and appropriately secured.
4. Storage and security
Our website is hosted on infrastructure located in Australia. We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure, including access controls and encrypted connections (HTTPS).
5. Disclosure
We do not disclose personal information to third parties except where necessary to respond to you, where you have consented, or where required or authorised by law. If in future we connect you with an independent specialist at your request, we will tell you who they are and disclose any relationship we have with them beforehand.
